About Us

After observing on a regular basis other shooters with un-safe gun handling practices and poor shooting techniques,

we realized there was a real need for better instruction.

We knew we had to do something to help, thus began our journey obtaining instructor’s certifications from across the state and across the country. We are committed to providing our students with quality instruction, teaching them the skills, knowledge, and mindset necessary for safe, responsible use of firearms both on and off the range, and essential for protection of self and family.

With proper instruction of his first pellet rifle at around age 6 he began to develop high quality shooting skills. He progressed from pellet rifle to .22 rifle to .22 handgun, and the progression continued. Wayne spent 8 years serving in the military as law enforcment and K-9 operations. For about 3 of those years he served on the Emergency Response Team (a tactical response team in the civilian sector is commonly referred to as SWAT). While serving, he took firearm courses from an instructor outside of the military who provided firearm tactics and instruction to the Department of Defense and Department of Energy security forces. He gained knowledge and skills instructing at an early age by giving K-9 demonstrations, and providing guest instruction for a class at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, Georgia. He became a certified Standardized Field Sobriety Test instructor and an Emergency Vehicle Operator Course Instructor. Wayne has gained over 30 years of knowledge and developed skills in firearms and instructing. How does that help you? Well, years of experience in teaching does not always mean someone is good at what they do. Rest assured, Wayne is able to communicate through a variety of techniques to ensure the student not only understands the concept, but how to carry it out. Through different examples, hands on exercises, and visually, Wayne takes you through the steps of becoming a better shooter regardless of your current skill level. Wayne currently has over 7 firearm instructor certification through three different orginizations. He has two additional certifications which are not firearm shooting based.
